Hi, Im Gareth A professional UK & International wedding photographer from South Wales.

So this is me, posing with a camera as a subtle hint that I am indeed a photographer. Some call me an advertising genius. Ive been photographing weddings for over 6 years. Ive photographed weddings in some amazing venues, such as Pencoed House Estate, Gileston Manor and a bunch of others. Ive also photographed professionally in both Australia & New Zealand !

I currently live in the South Wales with my girlfriend Bethan and our dog Olwen. I’m in my thirties which I love. The older I get the less of a shit I give and the happier I seem to become. As mentioned I’ve been photographing for over 6 years now and I love it, its the best job i’ve had, even better than when I worked in a fudge shop in Sydney! Read on to find out more…

Outside of photography I love travelling. I spent a year living in Australia and a year and half in New Zealand. I’ve been very lucky in terms of travel. I’ve had some amazing experiences - shark cage diving in Australia, hiking in Mount Cook New Zealand, swimming in the Great Barrier Reef and seeing the Northern Lights in Iceland. Ive also had some weird experiences like the time I almost got human trafficked by a man who ran a fruit and veg shop in Auckland who dubbed himself ‘banana man’ (ask me about him if you book me) I was almost sold drugs and a moped in one swift transaction in the Philippines despite not wanting either of those products, I managed to break my hand swimming in Austria, potentially becoming the first man to do so, and finally I had my ability to write in English questioned by a cheeky mechanic in Christchurch. Overall however, I have been lucky to see some wonderful parts of this earth.

Moving on, I am also a keen hiker and have managed to climb the three highest peaks in the UK. I love anything to do with the outdoors especially dogging. Just joking! Not anymore, not since the arrest. I am part of a kayak gang, The Yakgang (photo below) we suck at kayaking but we do have a good time.

What else..

What else can I tell you about me, I’m converting a camper van at the moment and love travelling around the UK in it. I’m hoping to take it to Europe soon. I once tried to stab an avocado stone with a butterknife and missed, severeing my finger resulting in 12 hours in A&E (yes I tried to stab it that hard, that a butter knife went through my finger) I love peanut butter so much that a dream of mine is to start my own peanut butter company , I’m also a massive fan of Ben and Jerries. I love football, I’m a massive Liverpool and Wales fan. I once turned up to a photography job in Cardiff, parked up and a sex worker immediately got in my car asking me “any business love” I crapped my pants and said no, then called my mam.

Chris Eubank Senior forced me to shake his hand in Cardiff despite not knowing who he was. I love wildlife photography and a big goal of mine is to photograph some wolves in the wild, hopefully I will get the chance to go to Canada for this. I really wanna go to Yosemite National Park in California for the 4th of July which is my birthday! Anyway, photography is my greatest passion. Nothing has ever taken my interest like photography. I love the happiness I’m able to bring to people with my photography and I love how happy it makes me. I hope reading this I have come across as a fun and relaxed person who doesn’t take himself too seriously. I try to bring this to my work as a wedding photographer and keep your day as fun as possible and capture some candid moments that you can remember.
